What is this template for?
This template is your safety net before development begins. It allows you to test high-fidelity or low-fidelity prototypes (hosted on Figma, Adobe XD, InVision, etc.) with real users. By identifying navigation dead-ends and confusing terminology before dev begins, you can save significantly on engineering time and cost. This is the industry standard for Lean UX and iterative design cycles.
What type of questions are included in the template?
The template focuses on Navigation and Comprehension rather than visual polish:
- “Where would you click?”: Determines if your entry points are visible and intuitive.
- Expectation Setting: Asks users to predict the outcome of an interaction before they commit to it.
- Flow Validation: Verifies if users can complete a multi-step journey (e.g., “Sign Up” or “Checkout”) without getting lost.
- Terminology Checks: Identifies labels or menu items that don’t match the user’s vocabulary.
- Prototype-Specific Ratings: Modified satisfaction scores that grade the concept and flow, not the technical performance.
