QuillBot Democratizing Research with Userlytics

Overview

QuillBot, an AI-powered writing platform, sought to refine its research processes to align its products more closely with user needs. The adoption of Userlytics aimed to enhance research accessibility, empower non-researchers to engage in usability testing, and drive data-informed decision-making across teams.

The Challenge

QuillBot faced significant challenges in its research processes, including limited accessibility for non-researchers, inefficient workflows, and limited testing methodologies included in their previous account. To overcome these obstacles, the team required a tool to empower cross-functional collaboration, enable diverse teams to independently conduct research, and deliver reliable insights to guide product decisions.

Additionally, researchers sought a platform capable of simplifying complex processes and making usability testing approachable for all team members, regardless of their experience level. The goal was to create a research environment where streamlined workflows and varied testing methods supported the organization’s broader mission.

The Approach

QuillBot embraced Userlytics as a pivotal tool to advance research democratization within the organization. Recognizing that research had traditionally been limited to a few specialized roles, QuillBot sought to break this barrier by empowering cross-functional teams, including product designers, design managers, and product managers, to independently conduct usability testing and gather actionable insights.

Userlytics was leveraged not just for its technical capabilities but also for its ability to align with QuillBot’s vision of making research accessible to all. The platform enabled diverse testing methods, simplified participant recruitment, and centralized insights for easier collaboration. This approach empowered teams to independently validate designs, explore user behaviors, and drive iterative improvements, making research a core component of QuillBot’s product development strategy.
