Okay. It looks like my first task here is to sign up for ADP payroll card.
And it's a prepaid debit card where my paycheck will be loaded directly onto the card. This is gonna be a card that I use everyday and I need to get my card ready to use. After I've gotten my card ready to use, I will then take a survey.
Okay. So, it looks like I am going to look around the website here. I do like how straight forward and concise it is. There isn't a lot of busyness going on all over the page, so, I do like that.
I don't always like the banners that change on the front page, just because sometimes I feel like I may be missing something a little bit. So, when the banners change and there's information that might be pertinent to me such as you know, questions about the total pay card, go to mycard.adp but then as I'm reading that, it goes on to the next one.
So I actually don’t prefer that just because I feel like it gets too busy for me and I might miss information that I could have used. So … but I'm going to try and get my card ready to use.
So, I don't have a username or password on the site. I would … I think that I would need to activate my card. That does seem pretty straight forward. So I'm gonna start with that and enter in my card number here.
4020180300458880 and the expiration date is May of 2015.
I do like how concise of an area this is and how it's only asking you for the pertinent information as it needs it, there isn't a lot of other things going on and again I think that very important especially for a website like this that you know exactly what you're being ask for, so that you aren't getting bogged down by other things.
I’m verifying my identity, the last four digits of my social security number and the three digit security code. I do really like the picture that shows you where the three digit security code would be located because, for people who may not have ever use a credit or a debit card or are new to this process or are new to anything that has a security code, they may not know where it is.
So I do like that there is a photo available here to show the end user where that would be. Looks like I just hit activate here. Okay. So we're going to create information.
Let's see, it looks like you have to create a new password, and also a username. I’m not exactly sure why it says please create a new password for your profile, because I’m also creating a new username.
So, it makes it seem to me a little confusing here where it says please create a new password for your profile. Because I'm actually creating a user name and password, it seems. So I... that is one thing that I would find a little confusing.
But I will put in my user name and then my password, and that looks like it has to be alphanumeric and between six … seven and 16 characters, must include one letter and one number.
I do like it when you have that ahead of time, rather than waiting until somebody actually types in the information and then it pops up that you needed to have certain information in your password, because I feel like sometimes that can be misleading.
Okay, let me put in my email address and a confirmation of my email address.
I do like also, when a site makes me confirm my email address.
Because I have had problems in the past when ... only having it once. And if I maybe misspelled or missed something, that got missed before I ended up signing up and then it was the wrong email address and it took a lot to fix.
So I do like that you have to confirm your email address. And then a security question. No, I’m not sure if there is any necessary parameters for the answer of the security question. So, we'll just see if that works.
Okay. Looks like here is my basic profile information and it does look like the information is correct.
Let's see. I'm just going to look through here and see. Okay, I'm just going to look through here and see that everything looks the same as how I entered it.
I do think it would be nice to be able to have a little bit more information on this main page such as, I guess, my address and things like that just so that I know... at least for myself I have a fairly common name and I would just like that to come up on this page when I first activated the card so that I know that it is the right person.
I realize that it probably is within the profile information and, actually, I don't see it on there either. So I mean, it would be nice, though, for, at least for myself, that that would be on that main page there.
And I do feel, though, that it was a very straightforward task to do to activate it. It took me through pretty easily. It didn't have any real kinks that made me confused.
And it didn't really have anything that would throw up a red flag to me. And I thought that the site is laid out very nicely. I don't always like when there are so many graphics all over of other, I guess, services or products.
And just because sometimes, it makes it easier to accidentally click on something and take you out of the page that you're on. So, that would be only one little downfall that I wouldn't prefer to have along the site here, but everything else seems pretty straightforward and was very easy to activate.
Its fast and easy!
