Jorge Arango

Jorge Arango is an information architect, author, educator, consultant, and speaker with nearly three decades of experience designing digital systems and experiences. Originally trained as an architect, he has brought architectural thinking into the digital world, focusing on how information can be structured to help people understand complex systems, find what they need, and make better decisions.

He is the author of Duly Noted and Living in Information, and co-author of Information Architecture: For the Web and Beyond. His work extends information architecture far beyond website navigation, exploring broader questions around knowledge, structure, agency, and how people interact with information. More recently, Jorge has been examining the role of information architecture in AI, including context engineering, trust, conversational interfaces, and how better structured information can help AI systems produce more useful and relevant outcomes.
