Userlytics provides a service for getting real user input on your prototype or production web site. Choose from our demographically segmented database of testers, or invite your own. The service enables you to send testers to your site and perform a directed task. As a client, you receive synchronized visual and audio recordings of the tester completing your task, plus their entire clickflow of task completion, analytics and time tracking. Testers are also invited to provide commentary in connection with specific screens as well as answer survey questions that you provided. Results are hyperlinked allowing cross referencing of significant statistics and commentary with the specific videos relating to that tester or event.
If you order a free trial sample of the Userlytics service, you authorize us to publish the free sample reports provided to you in the public domain, as well as use them for marketing purposes.
We reserve the right to deny requests from users that do not share accurate and complete registration information or for URLs that contain objectionable content.
Product managers, developers, website owners, usability professionals, website designers, marketers, advertising firms, SEO professionals and online marketing firms all benefit from Userlytics test results.
The ability to receive very quick and inexpensive test results makes this an ideal solution within an agile development process.
Immediate access to a panel of general Internet users takes the guesswork out of finding "fresh eyes" to test your product.
The tester video and audio recordings offer the ability to develop deep qualitative insight when travel is not practical.
Low fidelity prototype or wireframe testing can be accomplished quickly so you can share results with a variety of stakeholders and decision makers.
No, you do not need to edit the code of your website. The test may be performed on your own website, or any other website, with no need for modifications. This makes it possible to benchmark the usability of your site against competitors or develop your own best practices.
The first step is to enter the target URL address and define the goal you want testers to achieve.
The second step is to define follow up survey questions for the testers after they have completed or failed to complete their goal. Single-choice, multiple-choice, yes or no, Scaled 1-5, or write-in answer types are all available.
The third step is to choose your tester demographic profile and the number of testers assigned.
That's it! We contact the testers for you and the test starts almost immediately. Our testers use our proprietary software application, the Userlytics Studio, to conduct all tests during which their entire computer screen session, facial expressions, audio comments, clickflow, answers, and written contextual commentary are recorded.
You can direct testers to perform any goal or task that may shed light on your site usability. Additionally, you have the opportunity to set up questions for the tester to answer when the hands-on portion of the test is completed. You might ask about:
- Site navigation
- Overall concept
- Ease of use and intuitiveness
- Site design, video, colors, layout
- Specific processes such as: registration, log in, check out, utilities, etc.
- If they would use your site or recommend it to a friend
- Other user experience questions specific to your situation
For privacy reasons, Userlytics testers are prohibited from completing purchase processes with personal credit card information. If you would like the testers to complete such goals up to the point where such data is entered, please provide a dummy credit card number for them to use in your goal description when creating a test.
In the TestBuilder, you can edit your goals, questions and demographic selections until you are satisfied. Once you click on the checkout button, you are committed to the test. Our testers' time is valuable, so once a test has been submitted and paid for we cannot give refunds.

You may view your usability test results up to 90 days after placing your order.
Our reports are designed to be filtered, printed, and emailed to the rest of your team and/or clients. For the audiovisual portions of the reports, you may send the relevant links and passwords to your colleagues, management, clients and suppliers. Video and audio files cannot be saved outside our systems for security purposes.

There are best practices for gauging the user experience of online products. Two key practices that are widely supported are that task based testing will get thorough results, and that 5 testers will uncover 80% of potential problems. Building your tests with these factors gets you better results, for better decisions. Our product has these and other usability best practices baked right in. Less expensive products do not.
