What does Userlytics provide?
Userlytics provides a remote user experience testing service and a demographically segmented database of testers that enable you to analyze and optimize your website, online application, video, advertisement or search process. As a client you receive synchronized audiovisual video recordings of the testers and their computer screens and actions while carrying out the goals you assign to them, contextual "bubble-screenshot" written commentary, answers to specific survey questions, ClickFlow analytics, ratings and time tracking. Results are hyperlinked allowing cross referencing of significant statistics and commentary with the specific videos relating to that tester or event.
I reside outside of the US and want to test my website using US based testers. In which currency do I pay?
You will pay in US dollars through Paypal or Visa.
Who are Userlytics' highest rated testers?
Our highest rated testers comprise people who've consistently achieved the highest performance ratings from both clients and the Userlytics team.
How are your tester demographics segmented with regards to Education and Employment?
For Education, those with < 4 years of college education are considered as having some college experience or a high school diploma or equivalent. Those with 4 years of college education or higher are considered to have a Bachelor's degree or graduate degree.
For Employment, those who are employed are considered as self-employed, working part-time, or working full-time.
How long can I view my usability test results after I've ordered a test?
You may view your usability test results up to 90 days after placing your order.
Who can use Userlytics?
Product managers, developers, website owners, usability professionals, website designers, marketers, advertising firms, and online marketing firms all benefit from using Userlytics, in particular the ability to receive very quick and inexpensive tests for iterative within an agile development process.
How does Userlytics work?
The first step is to enter the target URL address and define the goal you want testers to achieve.
The second step is to define follow up survey questions for the testers after they have completed or failed to complete their goal. Single-choice, multiple-choice, yes or no, Scale 1-5, or write-in answers.
The third step is to choose your tester demographic profile and the number of testers assigned.
That's it! We contact the testers for you and the test(s) start almost immediately. Our testers use our proprietary software application, the Userlytics Studio, to conduct all tests during which their entire computer screen sessions, facial expressions, audio comments, clickflow, answers, and written contextual commentary are recorded.
How much does Userlytics cost?
A fraction of the price of traditional lab-based testing. Tests start at $299 for 5 testers.
How much time will my testers have to complete my goal?
You should aim for the goal you define to require no more than 10 minutes of a tester's time.
How soon will my test results be ready?
Most test results are available in as little as 24 to 48 hours. Demographic selection criteria may extend this time period in some cases
Who are our testers?
The Userlytics Tester Community comprises people from all backgrounds, operating in their natural environment, incentivized by monetary awards and a rating system.
All test results are reviewed for adherence to Userlytics testing and quality control guidelines prior to clients receiving the results.
Can I use my own testers?
Customized projects can be arranged that involve testers from outside the Userlytics community of testers. Please contact us at info@userlytics.com for more information.
Do I need to change my site for Userlytics?
No, you do not need to edit the code of your website. The test may be performed on your website, or any website, with no need for any modifications. This makes it possible to benchmark the usability of your site against competitors or best practice firms.
What kind of direction and questions can I ask testers?
You can direct testers to perform any goal or task that may shed light on your site usability. In addition, after they have completed or failed to complete their goal they may be asked questions you have previously defined on:
What if my task requires the use of a credit card?
For privacy reasons, Userlytics testers are prohibited from completing purchase processes with personal credit card information. If you would like the testers to complete such goals up to the point where such data is entered, please provide a dummy credit card number for them to use in your goal description when creating a test.
What if I make a mistake setting up my test?
Because we pay our testers for their time, once a test has been submitted and paid for, we cannot give refunds.
What can I do with a report?
Our reports are designed to be filtered, printed, and emailed to the rest of your team and/or clients. For the audiovisual portions of the reports, you may send the relevant links and passwords to your colleagues, bosses, clients and suppliers.
What is your policy regarding free samples?
If you order a free trial sample of the Userlytics service, you authorize us to publish the free sample reports provided to you in the public domain, as well as use them for marketing purposes.
We reserve the right not to accept sample requests from users that do not share accurate and complete registration information or for URLs that contain objectionable content.
What if I'm dissatisfied with one of the testers?
